The most recent data from Public Health in England today, Wednesday June 17, shows there were 751 confirmed cases in the borough.

In the region, there were 10,481 cases, an increase of 15 on Tuesday.

South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust tracks South Tyneside District Hospital in South Shields, as well as Sunderland Royal Hospital.
