Terence Davis is especially known for his shooting, acclamation, that it is absolutely deserved. It converts 39.6% of his attempts with three points and ranks in the 78th percentile of the effectiveness of the spots on the season.
A profile shot sterling made love Davis even more to a team, Toronto Raptors, which has an order of picage ultra-clear. Approximately 90% of its looks from outside the arc or edge, a distribution that involves a seamless integration and an intense awareness of roles.
At the same time, the value of Davis is more than that. It has both the bandwidth and the license for branch out of its compartment offensive. He has a second jump disarming when he follows his own failures around the hoop, knows how to take advantage of the defenses scrambled, and does not receive enough credit for his death.
Among the 161 players who have completed at least 150 records, Davis has a top-16 assists, placing him just behind Lonzo Ball. His ball control can be a little questionable on the half-field, and he is not the passer the most accurate, but Toronto can turn to him for a game of pick-and-roll one-time.
It remains to be seen how far the Raptors will rely on Davis in matches with high stakes. His playing time and his effectiveness dropped during the two weeks preceding the stopping of the NBA. Minutes of the playoffs consistent will be difficult to find with Kyle Lowry, Norman Powell and Fred VanVleet all before him, and with Patrick McCaw in the mix also.
However, Davis can be distinguished by cutting the minutes the actual wings. He’s only 6’4″ , but he spent the time to keep the 3 without sounding hopelessly outclassed and keeps his buttocks on the ball. Toronto would not give up that x 101.6 points per 100 possessions when he is a small forward, although these returns come from a terribly small sample.
Many other players are much more likely to shape the outcome of a playoff series for the Raptors. Between Lowry, Powell, VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Serge Ibaka, Marc Gasol and Pascal Siakam, they have a nice mix of stars and players of top of the range. But Davis is potentially yet another ace in their sleeve, a player really powerful able to push their way into the rotation (probably) shortened playoffs Toronto.
