Prince Philip is about to take another important step. The Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth will celebrate his 99th birthday this month as he remains the oldest living member of the royal family. While Philip is only a year away from crossing the century mark, a former royal footman has revealed the secrets of the regime that has kept him in top shape for all these years.
In Prince Philip’s retirement life
Philip and Elizabeth were married in 1947 and have been married for over 70 years. He officially left his royal office at the age of 96 and spends most of his time at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham Estate.
When he was younger, Philip loved field sports (like the others
members of the royal family) and was great on driving cars, a hobby that
takes considerable force to endure.
Until recently, he also loved to hunt, fish and shoot many
rural areas of the royal family. But now that Philip is about to turn 99

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Philip and Queen Elizabeth fell at Windsor Castle. While Philip has been much easier these days, his former footman, Charles Oliver, recently talked about his secret diet – which was partly inspired by his hobbies of hunting and fishing.

Oliver revealed that Philip was very practical at cooking and often ate his own meals at Buckingham Palace. According to Express, Oliver noted that Philip’s favorite dishes were breakfast and dinner, both of which were high in protein.
“Breakfast and dinner are his specialties”,
Oliver shared. “Wherever he goes, he insists on his electric glass cover
frying pan being wrapped so that he can cook. “
Oliver added that Philip was “able to produce
suppers, “and that he and Queen Elizabeth often eat them once their
staff members have retired for the evening.
Some of Prince Philip’s must-haves include scrambled eggs,
sautéed mushrooms, omelets, smoked haddock and bacon. These ingredients are
the perfect compliment for breakfast or dinner, which is all that Philip is
Former Philip chief Darren McGrady said similar things about the Duke of Edinburgh’s diet. Speaking to YouTube, McGrady revealed that Philip likes to try new foods regularly, which is about the opposite of Queen Elizabeth – who tends to stick to her favorites throughout the year.
Queen Elizabeth prepares to celebrate Prince Philip’s birthday
Although Philip is about to celebrate his 99th birthday, he and Queen Elizabeth will mark the occasion in private as the country continues to fight coronavirus. The royal family became isolated in the midst of the crisis and should not resume their normal duties until things have calmed down.
Unfortunately, this means that Prince Philip will have no
big birthday party this year. In fact, he will probably only spend the day with
Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle, but he could also call others
Queen Elizabeth was also forced to celebrate a discreet birthday
in April. Her Majesty is 94 years old and generally celebrates her birthdays
