Piers Morgan queues for McDonald’s after groaning over weight gain


Piers Morgan may have been groaning about gaining weight during the coronavirus lockdown, but that didn’t stop him from taking advantage of junk food at the first opportunity.The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host queued for a McDonald’s after branches reopened across the country earlier this week.

He went to Instagram to post a photo of himself from his car outside a Maccies in south-west London on Sunday evening.

Piers captioned the photo: “Lo and behold, the wait for the Gastronomic Holy Grail was finally over …”

Many of his 1.1 million Instagram followers expressed jealousy in the comments.

It comes after he complained about gaining weight on GMB earlier this week.

He said he manages to eat a healthy diet during the day, but finds it hard to resist indulging in take-out food at night.

Piers told co-host Susanna Reid, “I put a little weight on the lock. ”

“They call it the Covid-10,” she told him.

He continued, “I’m waiting all afternoon and I’ve been there around 6 am, and then my wife said,” Do you have to have a good Chinese man? Then I say, “Oh, get out the wine!” “”
