Number of new COVIDE-19 cases under 200 for the sixth consecutive day

The number of new cases of VOCIDE-19 reported in Quebec is less than 200 for the sixth consecutive day.

Health Quebec reported 158 new cases on Saturday, bringing the total to 53,824. 47 new deaths were reported for a total of 5,195. There are 788 people hospitalized wth COVID-19, compared to 840.

Montreal continues to be the epicenter of the virus in Quebec and Canada, but the infection rate is slowing. There are 26,613 confirmed cases, up from 56 new cases reported on Saturday, and 32 more deaths for a total of 3,189.

Here is the situation across Canada (as of 10:47 a.m., with most of the figures representing Friday’s reports):

— Ontario: 31,992 confirmed deaths (including 2,507 deaths, 26,538 were resolved)

— Alberta: 7,346 confirmed deaths (including 149 deaths, 6,811 reported)

— British Columbia: 2,709 confirmed deaths (including 168 deaths, 2,354 reported)

— Nova Scotia: 1,061 confirmed deaths (including 62 deaths, 995 resolved)
