New French coronavirus deaths in sharp decline

PARIS (Reuters) – The number of deaths in France of infection by the coronavirus has increased to 14, Friday to 29,617, the lowest increase in five days.

But the number of new confirmed cases have increased from 811 over the past 24 hours 159,452, double the daily average of the number of new cases recorded since the beginning of June, which amounted to 405.

If the probable case in the houses of nursing care are taken into account, the total reached nearly 196,000, according to calculations by Reuters, the 11 highest in the world on this basis.

New deaths have been reduced by half compared to the previous two days, and were well below this week’s daily average of 24.

The France death toll is the fifth largest in the world.

The number of people to the hospital with COVID-19 infections has dropped from 155 to 9,970, the first time the total has been below 10,000 in nearly three months.

The number of people in intensive care has dropped from 25 to 727.
