NASCAR Cup Series Atlanta Results: Kevin Harvick Takes Second Victory Of The Year In QuikTrip 500


Kevin Harvick is the winner of the QuikTrip 500 honor folds, taking the checkered flag at Atlanta Motor Speedway for his second NASCAR Cup Series victory of the season. Like all the other races this season started again, the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 took place without spectators in the stands.Before the race, NASCAR honored George Floyd with a moment of silence and NASCAR President Steve Phelps shared a message with his drivers.

This is the second win of the season for Harvick in the Cup Series, their 51st career victory and third career victory at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. During his victory lap, Harvick paid tribute to the late Dale Earnhardt with a number three to greet the glass of his car.

“My first win came for me here in Atlanta and it was only a circuit that I enjoyed,” said Harvick when speaking to FOX Sports after the race. “You always come back and keep those memories, and now you want to celebrate everything that Dale Earnhardt has done for this sport. To come here and be able to do it with victories and go on the victory track is quite special. ”

It was the 113th race organized by Atlanta Motor Speedway in the history of the Cup Series. Harvick won in Atlanta in 2001 and 2018. Earnhardt has won the Atlanta race nine times in his career.

Kyle Busch finished second, with Martin Truex Jr. in third, followed by Ryan Blaney in fourth and Denny Hamlin in fifth.
