The MTV Video Music Awards 2020 will take place in person at the Barclays Center on August 30, announced on Monday that governor Andrew M. Cuomo at a press conference.
Mr. Cuomo said that the awards ceremony, 36-year-old, would take place on the site, in Brooklyn, although with a limited public, or non-existent. Precautions related to social distancing and capacity limits will be in effect, said MTV in a press release. The company said it would continue to “closely follow” the advice of representatives of local governments and of the States and its own team of medical experts.
The city of New York is expected to enter phase 3 of his plan to reopen in four steps the 6 July. This phase includes the meal inside, manicures and other personal care services such as tattoo parlours.
The Barclays Center, as the other places of events in the city, has been closed since march after the city has removed all cultural and sporting events to limit the spread of the coronavirus. The place before the place became a central gathering place for the demonstrators from Black Lives Matter in recent weeks.
