MEL Gibson has been axed from Netflix Chicken Run suite.
It comes after the actor, who played Rocky in the years 2000 original – has been accused of being an anti-Semitic note of Winona Ryder.
The 64-year-old Mad Max star would not be reprising her role, The Wrap reported Tuesday.
Winona said that some of his colleagues of the actor Mel asked her if she was a Jew “oven dodger” at a 1995 party.
The 48-year-old actress spoke about the incident in an interview with the Sunday Times and reported by the new york Post.
Strange Things star recalled: “We were at a crowded party with one of my good friends, and Mel Gibson was smoking a cigar. “
According to the actress, the subject of the Jewish faith came and Winona claims that Mel asked him: “You are not an oven dodger, are you?”
The term “oven dodger” is a clear reference to the way in which the Jewish prisoners were incinerated in Nazi death camps.
But this was not the only inappropriate comment Mel, 64, would have been made throughout the night as the Beetlejuice actress has claimed that he then asked his friend, who is gay: “ Oh, wait, I’ll catch the AIDS?’”
Winona – whose real name is Winona Laura Horowitz – has also stated that he later tried to apologize for her offensive behaviour.
A representative of the actor has called the allegations “100% false”.
The representative told The Sun that Mel has reached out to Winona when the allegations were first reported in 2010, and ” she has refused to discuss with him.”
This is not the first time that the Passion of the Christ director has been accused of making anti-Semitic remarks.
In 2006, when he was arrested for dui in California, he would have said to police: “the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world. “
Mel was 39 at the time of the alleged incident
