Your friendly PS5 Spider-Man neighborhood. PlayStation

Marvel’s Spider-Man was arguably the best superhero video game since Batman: Arkham Asylum. Given the commercial and critical success of this 2018 game, you should know that a sequel was in preparation. At his Future of Gaming event Sony announced the sequel to Spider-Man: Miles Morales on Thursday PlayStation 5.

Sony launches Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 trailer

This Spider-Man game series is not really related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although Spider-Man has appeared in MCU movies like Avengers: Endgame. Sony owns the character of Spider-Man, which resulted in all kinds of complications with his role in the Disney-owned MCU movies.

Spider-Man for Sony’s PlayStation is distinct from all of that – and still offers one of the best superhero video games of all time. As a result, the sequel will be in high demand. I can’t wait to see how Spider-Man plays on the all-new next-generation PS5.

The 2018 original left us with a lot of unresolved weft threads for the future. Be careful with SPOILERS if you haven’t finished the first game. In the original, it is finally revealed that Norman Osborn was secretly seeking a cure for his son Harry’s fatal genetic disorder. In the end, we see Harry floating in a tank filled with green liquid and a black canvas-like substance that reacts to the presence of Norman – probably the version of this universe of the Venom symbiote.

Norman and Harry both become the green goblin in comics and movies, so the Osborn have plenty of surveillance options.

Peter Parker begins forming a new spider at the end of the three-episode DLC expansion for The City That Never Sleeps Miles morales in the art of web slinging – possibility of hinting that Miles is playable in the sequel or that Peter hands over to Miles somewhere on the line.
