Angel Gomes future will be decided

Despite the season, the reboot of this week and until the beginning of August, Angel Gomes’ future at Manchester United will be decided in the next two weeks. The 19-year-old’s current contract expires at the end of the month, while United have extended to long-term supply.

Sheffield United confirm Henderson agreement discussions

Another player who is an uncertain short-term future is Dean Henderson. The Sheffield United goalkeeper, who was loaned by Manchester United, could leave Bramall Lane when his loan contract at the club expires on 30 June.

However, this week, Blades boss Chris Wilder, who leads his team in the first match of the Premier League restart against Aston Villa this Wednesday evening, confirmed that discussions have been positive in regard to whether Henderson will remain with the team for the rest of the season.

“Yeah, there has been (contact with Solskjaer). There has always,” Wilder said. “I talked to Ole yesterday morning. He was on foot at the training ground. I thanked him for his collaboration with the Dean and we are in the process in the next few days of the finalization of the Dean to stay with us until the end of the season.

“I’ve got to say Ole was brilliant, as he always is and has been very pro-Dean of the stay and pleased with what Dean has done for us and what we have done for him.

“It can’t be under-estimated, and the opportunity we gave him to play Premier League football and we have been very pleased with him.”

United goes to show how much they want to Sancho

The Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho, Manchester United is the priority this summer, will almost certainly require a club-record fee. In the middle of the financial uncertainty of the current crisis, Ed Woodward admitted to prevent the business to continue as usual, such an agreement is difficult to remove.

And Dortmund are not able to sell. In fact, they are assuming that Sancho will remain with the club beyond this summer.
