Liverpool have known for some time that member of the first team physio team member Christopher Rohrbeck would be back in Germany at the end of the current campaign.

And now Morgan has agreed to trade the Emirates for Anfield to strengthen Jurgen Klopp’s backstage staff for next season.

Morgan was popular with game staff when he joined the club after building good relationships with skipper Jordan Henderson and vice-captain James Milner. He was also close to Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.

The outgoing Rohrbeck joined Liverpool in 2017 after spending 14 years in Mainz, where he first worked with Klopp.

Liverpool had also hoped to bring in club doctor Gary O’Driscoll from Arsenal to replace Andy Massey, only for the doctor to ultimately choose to stay in the UAE.

Academy doctor Jim Moxon has since joined the first team and can now continue to play this role on a permanent basis.
