Liverpool gave a boost to Major Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane after the CAN decision


Liverpool received a major boost for next season with news of the African Cup of Nations tournament. The CAN is scheduled to take place in January and February next year, which would have caused major disruption for many teams across Europe, including the Reds.

Now however, after an online meeting of the CAF executive committee, it has been confirmed that the tournament will take place a year later in Cameroon in 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The COVID-19 epidemic has caused chaos around the world, with football around the world being affected.

The European Championships scheduled to take place this summer have been postponed until next year, and now Africa has done the same with their respective tournaments.

This will give Liverpool a major boost, which has a few players who should have left mid-season to participate in the tournament.

Sadio Mane would have been a key player for Senegal, as was Mohamed Salah for Egypt, with the pair often being the front line focal point of their team.
