Live updates as Waterloo station reopens after police ‘incident’ as train disruption continues


Police are currently dealing with an incident at Waterloo Station in London on Saturday night (13 June).According to National Rail’s website, the incident was first reported at 5:50 p.m.

Although it is not clear what the disruption is, the station has reopened from 6.10pm and trains are able to arrive and depart.

Images of protesters inside and outside the station were broadcast inside and outside the station as clashes between police, anti-racist and far-right groups took place throughout the afternoon.

Rail passengers are asked to anticipate delays, changes and cancellations to services this evening.

They say there is no firm estimate of how long the disruptions will last, but it is likely to continue for at least 10 p.m.
