In the promotional video released by EA Sports early Friday morning, fans get a taste of what’s to come, with PSG star Kylian Mbappe prominently suggesting he may be the next star of the franchise.
The trailer also includes Eden Hazard of Real Madrid, Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool as well as Steven Bergwijn of Tottenham, while there are also fan clips at Anfield and the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund.
There is still uncertainty as to the release date of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, but EA has announced a “dual right” system, whereby players will be allowed to upgrade their copy of PlayStation 4 to 5 or Xbox One to Series X for free when it becomes available.
For the moment, there is no word on the release of versions for Nintento Switch or Stadia.
EA Sport said there will be more details on gameplay, career mode, Volta, Pro and Ultimate Team clubs by August.
FIFA 20, which featured Hazard on its cover, has received mixed reviews from users, some criticizing the awkward gameplay, dynamic difficulty and balance issues.
However, it has always been one of the best-selling games of all time, and version 21 will no doubt also hit the shelves.
