Kobe Bryant Pilot Crash Was Disoriented, Says Fed Safety Board Report – Deadline

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released reports today, indicating that the pilot of the helicopter carrying Kobe Bryant and the eight others are disoriented by heavy fog.Ara pilot Zobayan was made to descend, but said he was climbing during the crash, NTSB reports said. Zobayan, who died in the crash, said it was climbed 4,000 feet to reach above the clouds, but instead crashed into a hillside, reports released Wednesday said .

A final report on the cause of the incident will be released later. Today, however, reports note that Zobayan “wrongly” lived up to his craft, a common pilot error.

Earlier this month, Vanessa’s widow, Bryant, filed an unjustified death lawsuit against the company’s helicopter and the successor to the pilot’s interest. 13-year-old daughter Gianna was also killed in the crash.

The lawsuit did not specify the amount of the damages, but noted Bryant lost total profit in the “hundreds of millions of people.”
