Keanu Reeves auctions private zoom date to raise money for cancer charity

The star of “John Wick” and “Matrix” partnered with Camp Rainbow Gold – an Idaho children’s cancer charity – to offer a 15-minute Zoom call to the highest bidder.

“Bill and Ted. Speed. The matrix. John Wick. You know him. You like it, “says the description of the event. “It is truly priceless and now you have the chance to zoom in on it from home!” ”

Fans are invited to “prepare your questions” for a warm conversation with the 55-year-old Hollywood icon.

The virtual date was estimated at $ 10,000, but as of Wednesday, the auction was already reaching $ 16,600, thanks to an anonymous bid.

The auction ends on Monday and the special date will take place in the week beginning July 6.

All proceeds from “15 Minutes of Glory with Keanu Reeves” will go directly to the children’s cancer organization, which focuses on providing engaging experiences for children.

CNN contacted Reeves representatives for further comments.

Other elements of the Camp Rainbow Gold bundle include a 15-minute Zoom concert with Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke, and a guitar signed by singer-songwriter Andy Grammer.
