Judi Evans speaks
The beloved winning Daytime Emmy star, who played both Adrienne and Bonnie on the NBC soap opera, spoke about the early show Good Morning America during a segment on the coronavirus and what continued to happen in the country. His part of the clip below begins at 2:30 am.
“My fever started to increase. I said, “You know, can we test myself for COVID” because they took me down several times for maskless testing. They did it and it came back positive, “she said.
As Soap Hub reported yesterday, Evans was faced with blood clots in his legs, which COVID is also known to cause in his patients. Evans had previously undergone surgery to cure those in his legs after a fall from a horse revealed their presence.
Her publicist, Howie Simon, shared that the surgery was even more painful – and unnecessarily. “On top of that, when she went to surgery on one of her legs, they forgot to numb the leg and cut her leg when she was fully conscious without numbing the area! ”
Evans, who also created the roles of Beth Raines on Guiding Light and Maeve on As the World Turns, and took over the role of Paulina on Another World, hopes to continue testing negative so that she can complete her recovery at home . She appreciates that the fans keep her in their thoughts.
Soap Hub joins them in wishing the actress a speedy recovery. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local lists for airtime.
