Immortals kicks off Summer Split 2020 without Xmithie in the start list

In a surprising decision, Immortals decided to start the first week of LCS Summer Split 2020 without their veteran jungler, Xmithie. Instead, the lineup will feature Nicholas “Potluck” Pollock in the starting lineup.Potluck will join Paul “sOAZ” Boyer, Jérémy “Eika” Valdenaire, Johnny “Altec” Ru and Austin “Gate” Yu in a move that has confused many fans and analysts on the North American scene.

In recent years, Xmithie has been one of the most consistent junglers at LCS. His great decision-making ability, his leadership skills and his ability to work around his team made him one of NA’s best talents: when he was a free agent in late 2019, he was the one of the most sought after players on the market.

Immortal Director General Keaton Cryer and head coach Thomas “Zaboutine” Si-Hassen spoke about the decision in a recent video, and said the goal was to try all of the available synergies that the team has with his team of 10 men. As a result, it will not be the programming that we will see every weekend.

It will be interesting to see how many times Xmithie, AD will transport Apollo Price and support Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent who will enter and leave the list. They still have a lot of talent to provide this team, if they start to weaken at the start of the season.

It makes sense for management to make a change for the summer, as the team finished eighth in the spring. We will have to see if these line-up decisions come back to bite them as the regular season continues.
