Amber riley also spoke about the charges in an interview with Danielle Young.
“I’m not going to say that Lea Michele is racist,” said the 34-year-old actress, who played Mercedes Jones, during part of the interview. “This is not what I say. It was the assumption because of what’s going on in the world right now, and it happened to a black person. I’m not going to say she’s racist. ”
Later, she said she “doesn’t care about this Lea Michele thing”, noting that there are “people dying here”.
“If it’s not about funding the police, chasing killer cops, or Black Lives Matter or my EP coming out … if it’s not about these things, I don’t care,” said Riley.
