Faryal Makhdoom and Amir Khan to Support Family of “Beaten to Death” Girl


Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom pledged to support Zohra Shah’s family after the boy was “beaten to death” in Pakistan.The 28-year-old social media influencer and her 33-year-old boxing husband explained on social media that they had spoken to Zohra’s grieving father and promised to provide financial assistance to the family.

Eight-year-old Zohra was reportedly “tortured to death” by her employers after she accidentally released a pair of parrots from their cages in the house where she worked.

Her death caused an uproar across the country after she was beaten by the family she worked as a domestic worker for.

Showing his support for the family on Instagram, Faryal told his 897,000 subscribers that she had spoken to Zohra’s father and assured him that none of his daughters would have to work again.

Although she was asked by followers about the reasons why Zohra was sent to work so young, in another post, Faryal explained that she had been sent to work for education.

“Amir and I have personally contacted Zohra’s father and hope to speak to him soon. Thank you all … especially the lawyers, lawyers and human rights activists who support us, “she wrote in her Instagram article.

The social media influencer explained that her husband’s foundation had gone to visit the family and that it would help educate Zohra’s sisters.

Faryal added: “I am sending a member of the @amirkhanfoundation tomorrow to visit the house of Zohra Shah’s father, to give our donations. We will take responsibility [for] the family… send children to school and provide for them. ”

Faryal has also added a link to his social media profile to his fundraising page, which has so far raised £ 13,769 in donations.
