Death toll of Covid-19: over 500,000 people are dead. A quarter of them are americans


The last death toll rises to more than 502 000, according to data from the Johns Hopkins University, while the cases continue to skyrocket, and that epidemics are occurring in countries around the world.

The United States has the number of deaths confirmed the most high, having recorded at least 125 800 deaths – a little more than one-quarter of the global total Monday, according to JHU.

More than 10.1 million people have been infected by the disease in the world. In the last few days, the crisis of Covid-19 has worsened in the United States, where only four States – Delaware, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Rhode Island – have experienced a recent decline in the number of cases.

Last week, an increase in the number of cases has been reported in 36 us States drug. In Florida, the authorities have recorded 9 585 new cases on Saturday, a record on a single day since the beginning of the pandemic. Other countries that had started to come out of isolation also experience difficulties when authorities are dealing with local outbreaks.

In China, about 400 000 people in the county Anxin, near Beijing, have been placed under measures of locking after a slight increase in the number of cases in the region.

The inhabitants of the region are only allowed to send a member of the family every day to buy supplies, and all vehicles not registered locally are banned from entering the province, said a press release from the local government.

Elsewhere, India has registered more than 100,000 new infections Covid-19 in the last six days, while the cases are increasing across the country. Fears are growing about the situation in Delhi, where hospitals are grappling with a shortage of doctors and beds for patients.

The ministry of Health said on Monday that 548 318 people had been infected in total, while 16 475 were dead. As with the United States, the country has recorded an increase in cases after having raised quickly its restrictions lock.

During this time, in Australia and in England, the officials run to contain local epidemics. In Australia, the authorities are trying to contain an outbreak in the State of Victoria. The cases also continue to increase in Latin America, one of the main drivers of the record increase in the number of cases in the world in the last few weeks.

In Mexico, the president announced that the national capital, Mexico city, would start to progressively re-open on Monday, even if 4050 new cases were reported Sunday. Mexico has the 7th largest number of deaths of Covid-19 in the world, behind Spain.

Colombia and Peru have also reported cases of increase. The count of cases in Colombia is now 91 995, and Sunday, the authorities have recorded 167 deaths, the number of daily deaths, the highest reported by the country since the beginning of June.

Brazil has notified 30 476 new cases in 24 hours on Sunday. The country has registered more than 1.3 million cases, but the re-opening continues in cities such as Rio de Janeiro. The president of the brazilian Jair Bolsonaro has repeatedly downplayed the threat of the virus from the start, just as president Trump.

However, the Brazil, Bolsonaro could now become the next epicenter of the virus, although local epidemics are recorded in the world.
