Actor Danny Masterson, best known for his role in the hit series That ’70s Show, was charged with raping three women in the early 2000s.
He is accused of raping the women, who were all in their 20s, between 2001 and 2003.
Masterson, 44, denies the charges and argued that his membership in the Church of Scientology led to his persecution.
If convicted, he faces up to 45 years in prison.
Prosecutors have not laid charges in two other cases due to insufficient evidence and the expiration of the limitation period.

Mr. Masterson has been married to actor and model Bijou Phillips since 2011.
