“But with such an abundance of content and complex systems that intertwine, we have to get through everything, balance the game mechanics and fix a lot of bugs. “Ready when it’s done” isn’t just a phrase we say because it sounds good, it’s something we experience even when we know we will take the heat for it. ”
This news marks the second delay of the next game in 2020, although it is not as significant as the first, which has delayed it by several months from its initial release date of April 16.
CD Projekt Red has already confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 launches PS5 and Xbox Series X for new generation consoles after its initial release, but this delay suggests that the game will arrive in the weeks following the two new platforms, and potentially after that both systems will hit store shelves.
We will have to wait a few more months to learn the full layout of the Holiday 2020 release schedule, but rest assured, it looks like we will still be playing Cyberpunk 2077 before Christmas.
Despite its delay, we know Cyberpunk 2077 will be shorter and more replayable than The Witcher 3. Watch the video below for an overview of the walls of the CDPR.
