Seven deaths from coronavirus have been reported in a nursing home managed by the Scottish Borders council.

Sixteen other Saltgreens residents in Eyemouth have also tested positive for the virus since the outbreak was declared.

The Scottish Borders Council has stated that the majority of these people have recovered.

Another local border nursing home – Deanfield in Hawick – reported a single case of Covid-19.
