Coronavirus latest: Russian ship outbreak adds to the concerns of South Korea

The US has registered more than 25,000 new cases of coronavirus, for the fifth consecutive day, supported by an increase of more than 2,000 in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia and Texas.
Another 27,928 persons in the united states have tested positive for the disease over the past 24 hours, according to data compiled Monday by Covid Follow-up Project, of the 26,386 Sunday.
Of new cases exceeded 25 000 since June 18, and Saturday, toll of nearly 32,000, has been the largest increase since the beginning of May.
California (4,230), Texas (3,280), Florida (2,926), Arizona (2,196) and Georgia (2,119) had the largest one-day jumps of new cases.
Georgia, the increase was a record for the state; the other four have all had record increases since Friday.
Mississippi (1,646, a record) and South Carolina (1 008) were the only other states with more than 1 000 new cases.The figures are often expected to be lower than Monday due to a slowdown in the reports on the weekend, before a slight increase again on Tuesday.
Deaths are down, though. 285 people died in the united states of coronavirus since Sunday, according to Covid Follow-up of the Project, down from 297, and the lowest since March 25.
