A consortium in France is developing a 30 MW photovoltaic project in the town of Aups in the south of the country.Tenergie, the second-largest independent power producer in France, leads the consortium, which also includes the developer of renewable energy ReneSola Power.

The ground-based photovoltaic farm is expected to produce 46 gigawatt hours of electricity per year.

The consortium will develop the plant on leased land in the city of Aups, which will be owned by an entity, which in turn will be owned by Tenergie, the municipality of Aups and local stakeholders who invest through crowdfunding.
