Common, Lena Waithe, and More are preparing for the benefit concert virtual “The Chi with love”


Showtime has organized a concert virtual, which will feature headliners Lena Waithe and Common – creative contributors to the series network in Chicago, il Chi T– and a focus on Equal Justice. In the name of the drama series, Showtime, and the parent company ViacomCBS will launch the fund-raising drive with a $500,000 donation.

Waithe will participate in the special show of an hour while Common, winner of an Oscar and a Grammy, will perform a set during the concert that will also feature artists from Chicago The Chi cast members, including Jacob Latimore, Twista, Ravyn Lenae, Jamila Woods, BJ The Chicago Kid and MFnMelo.

The Chi with love will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the series on June 21 at 16 h. PT (19 p.m. ET), before the first of the season later in the evening on Showtime at 18: 00. PT (21 a.m. ET).

The Initiative for equal justice, provides legal representation to persons who have been unlawfully convicted, unfairly sentenced or abused in the State prisons, jails, and prisons.
