With the Corrie set closed for a number of weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic, Colson has used time to increase his grueling fitness regimen.
The Weatherfield star shared his latest body photo on his Instagram stories when he revealed that he had left for an early morning run before returning to work, on his first day back on the set.
Colson’s dramatic weight loss has prompted many Corrie fans to wonder how the producers will manage continuity as his character Craig takes on a different dynamic.
This could be answered by the announcement that a number of scenarios will be removed so that the soap can start again in a post-coronavirus world, with new stories arising from it.
In his photo on Instagram, Colson is seen in black shorts and a t-shirt as he takes a selfie in the mirror.
He captioned the cliché with: “Start the morning with a race. Daily quarantine. ”
He added, “First day back at work. Like a child at Christmas. ”
Colson shared the secret of his dramatic turnaround with his body shape in a video he posted on social media last week.
It shows the actor working hard, swinging kettlebells over his head, doing curls with heavy dumbbells and slamming a weighted ball on the floor.
Andy Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland in Corrie, commented, “You look absolutely mega good buddy. ”
Speaking on his podcast, Colson revealed that he may have to use a big suit to help his character Craig stay in shape.
Colson said, “We are in direct continuity, but I have almost lost a dozen stones since we left work, so I’m not sure if [my hair] is going to be the biggest of their problems.
“I could wear a fat wig and suit when we come back.” Now let’s go to a purple shampoo, making it almost a platinum color, which basically removes the ginger pigment.
“Then the jaundice will go away, and I will have blonde hair, which I do technically now. ”
