Clemson announces 28 cases of COVID-19

Clemson University announced Friday that 28 athletes and staff members were positive for COVID-19.The school has tested 315 athletes and members of the staff, with 23 positive tests from football players, according to Grace Raynor of The Athletic.

Most cases were asymptomatic and there was no hospitalization.

Players will have to be put in quarantine for 10 days and do not show any symptoms for three consecutive days before coming out of isolation, while people who came in contact with them should be put in quarantine for 14 days.

On Friday, the number of COVID-19 in the State of South Carolina continues to increase, with the 1,081 new cases confirmed.
