To manage attendance during this reopening period, while helping guests plan ahead before their arrival, we present the new Disney Park Pass system. During this period, all guests with a valid entry must make a reservation in advance for each entry to the park, using this new online tool.
To enter a park, a park reservation AND an entry valid for the same park on the same date are required for each person in your group from 3 years old (limit of one park per day).
Reservation dates for park reservations
The Disney Park Pass system will soon be available to select guests. Booking dates vary depending on your plans.
- From June 22, 2020, Disney Resort and other selected hotels Customers with valid entry to the theme park can make reservations.
- From June 26, 2020, Holders of an annual pass without a resort stay can make reservations.
- From June 28, 2020, existing ticket holders can make reservations.
Park reservations will be available until September 26, 2021, depending on your stay at the resort and ticket eligibility or the ticket eligibility window.
If you have booked a vacation package, the eligibility of your ticket is linked to the dates of your package trip. To make a park reservation for another date, be sure to change the dates of your vacation package.
If you have a single room reservation at a Disney Resort or other hotel selected for a stay in 2021, please call the Disney Reservation Center or call your travel professional from June 24 to upgrade to a vacation package with tickets, then make your theme park reservations.
Do you want to book a new vacation?
By June 28, all guests will be able to purchase new Disney Resort hotel packages and theme park tickets and make park reservations for arrivals starting in 2021 as our gradual reopening continues. Customers will be able to check the availability of the park reservation online before purchasing their tickets.
Here are some important details to know about this new system:
- You will need a My Disney Experience account, because this is where your Walt Disney World Resort plans are stored and managed.
- You will also need a theme park ticket or valid annual pass which is linked to your My Disney Experience account.
- If you have a Disney Resort Hotel Reservation, also make sure to link it to your My Disney Experience account beforehand.
Once connected to your My Disney Experience account and linked to your ticket, you will have access to a calendar of reservation dates available for each theme park. If you have a multi-day ticket, you will need to make a park reservation for each date of your visit. Families and friends can tie their tickets together and seek to arrange the theme park entrances at the same time.
Please note that park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. Availability may change until the reservation is finalized. At that time, customers will be able to select one park per day; visiting more than one park per day will be temporarily unavailable when theme parks reopen due to frequentation limitations. Customers with existing tickets that include the Park Hopper option or the Park Hopper Plus option have options available for ticket changes and cancellations, and can visit DisneyWorld.com/Updates for more information. We hope to bring back the opportunity to visit more than one park a day soon and will continue to offer these add-ons for ticket purchases in 2021.
For existing ticket holders and annual pass holders: Beginning this week, Disney will contact existing ticket holders and annual pass holders with more information on when they can check availability to make their park reservations. We will be opening the Disney Park Pass system to these customers in stages, starting with those staying at Disney Resort and other selected hotel stays. Later this summer, we will resume 2020 ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel arrivals, based on availability of park reservations, while we continue to provide customers with existing tickets and pass holders annual the possibility of reserving parks for the 2020 dates.
Planning a new trip for next year: By June 28, all customers will be able to purchase new Disney Resort hotel packages and theme park tickets and make park reservations for arrivals starting in 2021 as our gradual reopening continues. As you start planning your next visits, we are also exploring interesting ways for customers to use their mobile technology to discover the magic – especially now that the use of phones and apps continues to evolve. In 2021, we plan to unveil a new innovative offering as part of the My Disney Experience app that will bring the functionality of a MagicBand to your smart devices, building on the app’s existing digital key functionality. With this new offer on the horizon, we will withdraw our free distribution of MagicBand to Disney hotel customers for new bookings with arrivals from January 1, 2021. Disney hotel customers will continue to have the opportunity to purchase from new MagicBands at a discount, and we’ll be showcasing even more colors and designs featuring favorite Disney characters in the future. Customers who prefer not to purchase a MagicBand at a reduced price will be able to use the My Disney Experience app or a Key to the World card during their visit. We will still be offering MagicBands in stores and on shopDisney.com, and guests will be able to continue using the wearables at the Walt Disney World Resort.
