The Boys Season 2 will premiere its first three episodes worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on September 4, 2020, with the remaining five episodes airing every Friday until October 9. The creator of the series, Erik Kripke, calls season 2 “crazier, stranger, more intense, more emotional. In fact, this is too much – so the Surgeon General insisted that we air the first three episodes on September 4, then air the other five episodes every week after that. We wanted to give you time to freak out, digest, discuss, come down from the pitch, before giving you another dose. “All of this exciting news was announced at a special virtual event hosted by season 2 guest star Patton Oswalt. The streamer also revealed a new poster for season 2 which you can check out below:
Here’s how Amazon describes the upcoming second season of The Boys:“The Boys are on the run by the law, chased by the Supes and are desperately trying to regroup and fight against Vought. While hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) are trying to adjust to a new normal, but Butcher (Karl Urban) is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) has to make his way into The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) aims to finish. His power is threatened by the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a new social media savvy Supe, who has his own agenda. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia. ”
