Blood test can help identify those who will suffer the most from coronavirus | New

Scientists are about to recruit NHS patients for a blood test that could predict how likely people with Covid-19 are to become.

Researchers at the Francis Crick Institute in London have identified dozens of proteins in the blood that seem to predict how a patient is likely to behave.

These biomarkers could be analyzed to identify the people most at risk and thus prioritize them for treatment.

Blood samples would be processed using mass spectrometers, diagnostic machines that many hospitals already use. Each spectrometer could run up to 800 tests in one day “at low cost,” the researchers said yesterday.

The technique is said to be based on a machine learning system, a type of artificial intelligence (AI). He’s undergoing data training
