Speak Up: Big Brother Brian Dowling Went On Instagram To Respond To Davina McCall Amidst Ongoing Dispute About Reality And Her New Best Show Series Ever
“Thursday morning I posted a video on Instagram saying I was hurt and upset that I hadn’t been referenced at all as a Big Brother host in the chat between all the presenters, and how that plays out in my overall treatment by the production undertaken since they fired me.
“It was not at all a personal attack on you, Rylan or Emma because as far as I know, you are not making or editing the series and I am a big fan of all of you as presenters. “
Brian was initially bowled over by the new Channel 4 series, which revisits the most iconic episodes of the series because he was not considered a presenter.
Controversy: The reality TV star, 42, wrote: “I can’t believe I’m still in this position where I have to justify my feelings about BIG BROTHER”
Candidate: He then posted a long statement, directed at Davina, to defend his recent actions
He presented the show from 2011 to 2013 before being picked up by Emma Willis – something he claims was not told to him and which he only discovered after reading it in The Sun .
In an interview with Emma, 44, Rylan Clarke-Neal asked what it was like to take the place of Big Brother presenter after working with “Big Mother” Davina, 52.
Emma said, ‘You poop your pants a bit, you think you can never follow the Queen so just try to do the best job you can.’
Hurt: Brian was initially upset by the new Channel 4 series, which revisits the most iconic episodes of the series, as he was not rated as a presenter
Davina defended her statement by tweeting to say, “This is what he said. He was referring to when she worked with me on C4.
“Clear as day. He never said that she had succeeded me as a host.
Brian’s statement continued: “It was I who said that my feelings were hurt because I felt that my accommodation for six series of the show was airbrushed.
“I understand that Channel 5 shows weren’t on your new series, but Emma’s role as host was specifically discussed and Rylan’s Bit On the Side show was also referenced during the series.
Drama: Davina defended Emma’s statement by tweeting to say, “That’s what he said. He was referring to when she worked with me on C4 ‘
“I felt sad that I hadn’t even been listed as the host, knowing that there were only three of us. Only three of us.
He continued, “These weren’t references to me as a roommate at all, and I really appreciate the nice things you and Rylan said about me at the Thursday night show.
“Thereafter, I was not going to say anything else about it. Thursday night after the show aired, you personally decided to tweet that I was asked to appear on the show, but I turned it down and tagged me in the message.
Questions: Responding to a fan, Brian shared an enigmatic tweet suggesting that he did not have the chance to participate in the best shows of all time
“Why did you think it was appropriate to post this? Even if you were asked, you would surely be well aware that it would make me look bad and cause bad comments about me, when you did not know why I would have refused to participate?
“Did I refuse you personally? No.
“Did you or someone else ask me why I could have refused? No.
Drama: The presenter went on Twitter Thursday evening to clarify Davina McCall’s claims that he had been offered the chance to appear in the retrospective series Best Shows Ever
“I did not refuse to film a 10-second clip as an insult to you or Rylan. I said no, because it once again highlighted how I am treated by the producers of this show and it triggered many mental health issues for me again.
“When I was fired, I was hurt, upset and publicly humiliated. My mental health and confidence has suffered tremendously over the past seven years because of this and other events that have occurred while I was hosting.
“My career ended because I couldn’t even consider working on television for a good number of years after that and my reputation was damaged.
Explanation: Davina went to Twitter to say that Brian had the chance to appear in the best shows of all time
“I think that’s a very good reason why I didn’t want to film a 10-second clip, and you have no idea what really happened seven years ago and what I lived at the time. “
He added, “Once I saw your tweet and the amount of vitriol and abuse I got in response, I felt like I had to post something explaining why I didn’t want to film the clip.
“It was not something I wanted to do, but I felt I had no choice given the amount of poison and criticism I received personally.
“I certainly don’t think I got anything unreasonable by posting it – I had to comment in light of your very bold” FYI “message to your 2.7 million followers.
“I haven’t said anything since. However, it is now Saturday and you are still posting about it today. I really don’t understand why, but I would really like to draw a line under it now please, because by continuing to publish everything you do, it is encouraging more negativity.
MailOnline has contacted Davina McCall and Channel 4 representatives for comments.
Angry: But Brian then responded by saying he felt “tainted” by the way the bosses treated him during his stay as a host, adding that he had learned from the newspapers that he had been harassed
This comes when Brian attacked the Big Brother bosses for having “secret talks” with Emma behind his back to replace him as host of the show, and admitted that he was “still affected” by the way he was treated.
On Thursday evening, viewers looked back at Brian’s first appearance on Big Brother in 2001, who finally saw him crowned champion of the series.
Responding to a fan, Brian shared an enigmatic tweet suggesting that he hadn’t had a chance to participate in the best shows of all time, writing: “You are not alone. In fact, at this point, it gets pretty funny. People trying to rewrite history.
