With his latest short film, Gillian Zinsen’s Pause is an ode to New York’s resilience and courtesy in the days of the coronaviruses. Combining intimate portraits of the cityscape with audio interviews with New Yorkers, the project is an opportunity to “remind us of the power of our fellowship,” says Zinsen. It also gives us the opportunity to “reflect on the duality of extreme isolation and extraordinary connectivity in New York during lockdown. ”
