The international gabonese has also obtained the position of captain last year after Granit Xhaka was reprimanded for an altercation angry fans.
But with only 12 months remaining on his contract and no extension yet agreed, Aubameyang is linked to a move away from the Emirates this summer and he insists that the club persuaded him to stay.
The heads of the gunners are still hoping that the player of 30 years old will extend his contract, but the manager Mikel Arteta would prefer to probably sell it this summer rather than let him leave next year for free.
And Bent believes that Arsenal has six weeks to sign Aubameyang on the dotted line, otherwise they should sell it.
“I’d probably take the next six weeks and try to persuade Aubameyang to stay,” said Bent to talkSPORT.
“But if towards the end of these six weeks, you can’t convince him, then you must try to get the most money possible [for him].
“Arsenal fans have tired of seeing their star and their captain to leave for nothing. ”
Bent thinks that the Gunners should seek a replacement who could be the leader of the club for many years to come.
But he admits that this may not be possible and pointed to the veteran as PSG Cavani, 33 years old, as a substitute to short-term appropriate.
Bent added: “I would seek out may be replaced by someone who will be the centre-forward Arsenal for the next five years.

“But if this person is not there, then I’d look at someone like Cavani, just remove the PSG.
“Even if you recruit for a season as a mouth-hole because you have young attackers like Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah who seem to be able to be top players.
“As a fan of Arsenal, if Aubameyang was leaving, of course, I would be upset, but I’d rather see it from now, then we get something for him and can replace him rather than see him leave for nothing in 12 months. ”
