Anna Kendrick compares the filming of ‘Twilight’ to survive a ‘hostage situation’

The “Pitch Perfect” star spoke to Vanity Fair for an interview about her role as Jessica Stanley in the 2008 film based on the Stephenie Meyer’s novel of the same name.

Kendrick, who appeared in four of the franchise’s films, recalled “being so cold and miserable” when filming the first film in Portland, Oregon.

“I just remember that my Converse was completely soaked and I felt like, ‘You know, it’s a really great group and I’m sure we would be friends in another era, but I want to kill everyone’, did she say. laughed. “Although it is also a kind of link. There was something like that, like you were going through a traumatic event, like you imagine people who survive as a hostage situation and you are a little bit linked for life. ”

Fun moments given that the actress said she was roughly at the audition, blowing her out and thinking that this would be an opportunity for the casting director to consider her for future roles.

The first “Twilight”, of course, was a huge success. Fortunately, Kendrick said that the weather was better when the second film in the franchise, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” was released in 2009.In “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” of 2010, his character delivers a memorable graduation speech.

Kendrick said that many people complimented her how moved they were about the speech, but said that she couldn’t take credit for it.

“The thing that is happening is that you are watching [co-star] Kristen Stewart’s reaction to that speech and it’s the thing that moves you, “said Kendrick. “Because I was like” I did well “but I was just a little like” I don’t know I read the speech “and then cut to Kristen. She’s so moved because she’s so talented. People say, “This speech is so amazing” and I say to myself, “No, it’s just her, she’s great. “”

Kendrick is currently the star of the “Love Life” series on HBO Max.
