Anderson .Paak has shared a new song called “locked” with an accompanying music video directed by Dave Meyers. The visual features cameos from Syd, Jay Rock, Andra Day, Dominic Fike, and others, and focuses on the themes of police brutality, racial injustice, and protest. Many of the artists featured in the clip wear masks, a visual representation of the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Watch the video below.The visual of “Lock-in” ends with a list of several victims of police brutality, including George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. The last image has a note indicating that .Paak of the organization .Paak House has donated it to the Action of the Deposit of Funds from THE Atlanta Solidarity Fund, and Albany, in the state of the Funds Security for the Black Life. All the players and the team’s wages for the “Lock” visuals have been donated to Dream Defenders, an organization of revolutionary youth.
