Alison Brie said goodbye to her role as Diane Nguyen after six seasons, when BoJack Horseman ended in January.

But the Golden Globe nominee recently replied for the choice of casting, following similar situations with Kristen Bell and Jenny Slate.

On Friday, she made a statement on Instagram, apologizing for her portrayal of the Asian character in the animated series Netflix.

“We missed an excellent opportunity to represent the American-Vietnamese community with precision and respect, and for that, I am truly sorry.

“I applaud everyone who has moved away from their voice-over role in recent days. I learned a lot from them. “

She voiced the Vietnamese-American ghostwriter for the entire series of the series, which was premiered in 2014.
