176 new cases, 4 additional deaths in Nevada

The number of Nevadans testing positive for COVID-19 increased by 176, bringing the total number of known infections statewide to 9,266 people, according to new data posted on the Nevada Health Alliance dashboard. This is the largest increase in cases identified in the past 13 days.

The statewide death toll rose to 433.

Hospitalizations for COVID-19 decreased 6.3% on Thursday, and ventilator use among known and suspected cases fell to 119.

According to the dashboard, 5,477 tests were administered on Thursday, resulting in 176 positive – a positive one-day rate of 3.2%. The cumulative rate of positive tests since the start of the tests is 5.6%.

Carson City man dies of COVID-19; 18 new cases in Quad County


Carson City man dies of COVID-19 – the sixth individual to suffer from the disease in the Quad-County area, according to Carson City Health and Human Services.

Health officials said they did not know if the man had any underlying health problems.

According to a statement released Thursday, CCHHS also reported 18 new positive cases, six of which were people under the age of 18.

The majority of cases have been reported in the county of Lyon.

The recent increase represents 9% of the cases in the region of the four counties. A total of 220 cases have been reported and 59 cases remain active.

Health officials have also reported an additional recovery, bringing the total number of recoveries to 155.
