1 person injured, unidentified suspect – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth


DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Galleria Dallas was evacuated Tuesday evening after a shooting in the third floor food court on Tuesday evening.The call arrived around 6:45 p.m. shortly before the mall closed.

Officers review the mall video and look for a suspect, but say it is not an active shooter situation and that the suspect has left the mall.

One person was injured and rushed to the hospital in an ambulance with lights and sirens.

Late Tuesday night, there was no word on the victim’s condition.

The incident occurred after an argument between two people in their late teens or early twenties.

Police said the victim and the suspect knew each other.

The customers told J.D. Miles that they heard gunshots and fled.

“I saw people running upstairs. There were gunshots or loud noises. I ran away and just went into hiding, “said a client who had skated at the time.

Dallas police have been inundated with 911 calls from stores such as Express and Forever 21 where people congregate and take cover, said J.D. Miles.
