The NBA playoffs have always, over the years, seen a set of competitive games. 16 teams would compete intensely and one would win the ultimate champion of the seasons award at the end. For the series, the NBA decided that there could only be one television advertising campaign. These were broadcasters filming the best players from each of the teams that qualified for the playoffs.
Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal were featured in the first ad. As former teammates and friends, the two together would certainly bring a lot of attention. Bryant and O’Neal played together for the Lakers for eight years between 1996 and 2004. During their time together, they achieved a famous hat-trick but were then involved in an infamous feud. The quarrel finally led Shaq to leave the Lakers for Miami Heat in 2004.

Four years after their separation, Shaq and Kobe were together in advertising for the NBA playoffs. The two spoke of fear.
“There are so many emotions at the end of the season and no one likes to talk about them. One of them is fear. The fear is that you will get so far and all of this may end. The dream could die. But for me? I like fear. It means I’m close. It means I’m ready ”, would say both in the video.
Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan, LeBron James and Kevin Garnet were other stars. There were more videos like this during the playoffs. Other stars like Chris Paul, Dwight Howard and Steve Nash among others.
