Lovato will also perform a new song “In the Mirror”.
Fans of absurd costumed singers, pop vampires, techno-dancing grannies, masked metal monsters, turkey DJs and songs about the 13th century Emperor Genghis Khan are super disappointed that the Eurovision song contest this year – which allegedly took place on Saturday evening (May 16) was canceled due to the coronavirus.
Fortunately, Netflix has a movie for that. The streaming service and Arista Records have teamed up for the soundtrack for the upcoming film by Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.
The David Dobkin (Wedding singer), a directed comedy that tells the story of the budding duo Lars (Ferrell) and Sigrit (McAdams), who mark the chance of their lives when their song is chosen to represent their country in the annual world song contest.
The film also presents Pierce Brosnan and Demi Lovato, with the pop star who should appear on the song “In the Mirror”.
Netflix has not yet announced a release date for the film.
The album, which will be released on June 26, will contain songs from Ferrell and other actors, including the perfectly ridiculous first single, “Volcano Man”, which you can hear below. Look for an accompanying video to file tomorrow (May 16).
