There is optimism within the NBA about the completion of this season, which makes sense given its possible conditions for a closing tournament. If the players are isolated on a Disney World campus, away from the fans, it all seems doable, albeit difficult. It is tempting to believe in the fantasy that if the NBA succeeds, sporting normality will return. Unfortunately, we are probably far from returning to normal, especially for the league. Having a 2020-21 season would be a much heavier lifting than ending the 2019-20 season. This is mainly due to the fact that the NBA is an indoor sport and the new coronavirus, based on recent studies, seems to be a particularly pernicious internal threat.
