Manchester United legend Patrice Evra recalled the time when Sir Alex Ferguson criticized his team for ignoring their supporters.

The Frenchman spent nine years at Old Trafford and was a fan favorite for his demonstrations and dedication to the club.

Evra has spent eight of those years under Ferguson and has been a regular captain in the Scottish’s final years at a time when Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes were still at the club.

However, the Frenchman revealed that he and his teammates had felt the full force of Ferguson’s hairdryer when the team ignored the waiting fans on a preseason tour after waiting for hours in hopes autographs.

“I’ll give you an example, once when we were in preseason, and before getting on the bus, we were really tired, I’ll be honest with you, and there was a queue of fans”, said Evra to Manchester. Plain podcast.
“And the players were like” when nobody signs, nobody has to sign “. So we went straight to the bus, each, and I looked out the window and I saw Sir Alex Ferguson signing each autograph. “I swear he must have signed for about 45 minutes. He signed [for] everyone. I say, “Guys, when the boss gets on the bus, we’re done.”

“And he came on the bus, he gave us the hair dryer. “What do you think you are ?! These people pay your wages. These people come to watch you. Now put the f – over there and sign. And we had to sign each fan. But this is the mentality. “
