Georgetown transfer Mac McClung entered the NCAA transfer portal early Wednesday afternoon and his phone exploded soon after.
The schools that have reached McClung so far are Florida, Auburn, Texas A&M, Arkansas, USC, BYU, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Gonzaga, Utah, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Georgia, according to 247 Sports.
McClung originally declared for the NBA draft, but withdrew from the process on Wednesday afternoon.
McClung went through the writing process with Daniel Hazan of Hazan Sports Management agent. McClung had met virtually a number of teams since his declaration.
The 6’2-inch, 185-pound goalkeeper from Gate City, Virginia, averaged 15.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 21 games in his second season.
McClung averaged 13.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in his first year campaign, and was selected to the Big East All-Freshman team.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, McClung will be forced to sit next season before he has two years of eligibility. McClung should however request a waiver to be eligible immediately.
