Jon Jones may not be moving to heavyweight as he had hoped, but that doesn’t mean that the UFC light heavyweight champion doesn’t have the natural power to do it.
Jones, who was shut down by UFC officials earlier this week while asking for more money for a Francis Ngannou super-fight, went on social media late last night (Friday, May 22, 2020 ) to show his incredible strength and athleticism. Given recent events that have taken place over the past few days, this may have been a direct hit on everyone doubting Jones’ ability to gain weight and challenge superhuman fighters like “Predator”.
“Bones” posted the above video on Twitter showing the power of a real UFC heavyweight. It may not be Ngannou’s strength, but it’s still great.
“505 in the 505 #SomebodyCallUSADA,” Jones wrote.
Jones is probably the last guy who should induce USADA, but it was a lot of fun. The light heavyweight king of the UFC continued with an additional video an hour later featuring another huge power.
While it’s not as impressive as Jones having lifted 600 pounds in 2016, the champion’s efforts will not go unnoticed.
From now on, Jones will have to wait and see which light and heavy UFC will throw him the way. With heavyweights moving off the table, “Bones” will likely test his strength against competitor Jan Blachowicz or in a rematch with Dominick Reyes, who fought Jones on the brink of defeat last February .
