Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje will face off for the interim lightweight title, while Henry Cejudo will have his first defense of his bantamweight title against the return of Dominick Cruz.
The 23 other combatants who were to participate on the combat card saw their COVID-19 tests return negative.
UFC President Dana White insisted that the promotion would go “beyond” health and safety protocols throughout the week. Between an immediate test of the COVID-19 swab on arrival, daily medical examinations and fighters with their own training rooms, it is clear that promotion has made health and safety a top priority.
