BBC to broadcast classic performances from Glastonbury Festival

The BBC will mark the cancellation of the Glastonbury Festival by broadcasting classic performances after the festival closes due to the pandemic.

These include iconic flagship shows from Adele, Beyonce and David Bowie, throughout the weekend, slated to take place in June.

The Somerset event was to celebrate its 50th anniversary in June, with Sir Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar headlining the pyramid scene, but it was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Glastonbury experience will be broadcast from Thursday 25 June to Monday 29 June on the BBC television channels, iPlayer, radio and BBC sounds. The BBC will mark the cancellation of the Glastonbury Festival by broadcasting classic performances after the festival closes due to the pandemic. .
