As much as New Orleans Saints fans may not want to think about it, Drew Brees cannot agree forever.
The 41-year-old Super Bowl champion signed a $ 50-million, two-year contract with the Saints in March but has hinted that his 20th season may be the last. With retirement on the horizon, head coach Sean Payton has piled up his quarterback, leaving many wondering who will be the one to fill all 13 shoes of the Pro Bowler.

NFL insider Jay Glazer thinks the answer is pretty obvious: Taysom Hill.
Glazer wrote in a column for The Athletic that not only is Hill Payton’s “guy”, but the fourth-year quarterback is also a team favorite.
“Sean Payton loves him but it’s not just him, the whole team loves him, not just Sean Payton,” he wrote. “Watch a game of the Saints. When he’s in the game, watch the other players on the sidelines, watch their reaction. They all get up and stand aside to look at him. “

“No smoke screen, it’s him. “
With a veteran like Brees still on the list, there is no reason to put Hill yet. But as talent evolves in the league and Brees prepares for retirement, Hill’s day as a signalman for the Saints may be imminent.
“I think Sean was still hoping to unleash him on the league without anyone seeing him before, but now we’ve seen him with Lamar Jackson,” wrote Glazer. “He’s a bigger Lamar Jackson. No, it is not a smoke screen. He loves him so much, he will be the guy. He’s with the perfect coach for that. “

The Saints also signed on to past Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winton, who could be Brees’ main replacement because the team likes to use Hill in all types of attacking ploys.
